Nautiqus at One Terminal Run

On Sunday, June 25, we took part in a unique event – ONE Terminal RUN Gdynia.
This was the third edition of the race around the container terminal, organized by Hutchison Ports Gdynia (GCT).

More than 830 people tackled two routes: for 1 nautical mile and for 5 km. Every year the event brings together a growing number of running enthusiasts, but it also serves an integrative function for the transport and maritime industry. Physical activity is very important to us at Nautiqus, and we use sports to integrate. Nearly half of our employees took part in this year’s edition, and our freight forwarder Dorota won a place on the podium for the 2nd year in a row – this time 1st place in her age category – HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!

This year, before the main adult run, the organizer added a new attraction – ONE TERMINAL RUN KIDS, of which we became a sponsor. Young runners could test their abilities in age groups, and before the runs they were warmed up by our “energy woman” – Djoana, who, in addition to her work at Nautiqus, is also a personal trainer and fitness instructor. Participation in the children’s run was free of charge, in order to receive a start package with goodies from the sponsors (frisbee, beach ball and backpack bag) one had to bring a bag of plastic nuts or paint a drawing related to the run. The children’s drawings made a beautiful gallery.

An obstacle course with prizes, a space for the youngest with coloring books, soap bubbles and other games, as well as tattoos and colorful braids awaited visitors in the Nautiqusa zone.

The Container Terminal Run is a unique event not only because the area is inaccessible on a daily basis – all proceeds from the event go to charity each year. We are already starting to count down the days to next year’s edition!
