After a year of fruitful cooperation with the Sportowa Politechnika club, we have decided to increase our commitment to the development of young athletes.

‘A year ago we started a cooperation with a sports club dedicated to the training of children and young people – Sportowa Politechnika. As part of this cooperation, we became a sponsor of the amazing U15 Cadets team. Over the course of this year, we could not leave in awe of the strength, skill and ambition that characterises the young cadets of Sportowa Politechnika. Their determination and passion impressed us greatly’ – commented Dominik Popiel, CEO of Nautiqus.

It was these qualities that inspired our board to decide to become even more involved and sponsor the whole club.

As of August 2024, Nautiqus has become the title sponsor of all women’s youth teams participating in competitions organised by the Pomeranian Regional Basketball Association and of the Women’s League 1 team participating in the Polish Basketball Association.

History and Mission of the Sportowa Politechnika

The Sportowa Politechnika Association, founded in 2013, is dynamically expanding its activities with each passing season. There are currently more than 150 players training within the structures of the club, who proudly represent the colours of Sportowa Politechnika on league courts in both youth and senior categories. The club places particular emphasis on youth development, giving children the opportunity to make their debut on sports arenas as young as 10 years old.

Successes of the 2023/2024 season

The 2023/2024 season was exceptionally successful for Sportowa Politechnika’s youth teams. The club won the title of Best Female Youth Basketball Club in Poland for the third consecutive year. Achievements this season include:

• Vice-Championship of Poland for Women in the under-19 category
• Silver medal in the Polish Women’s Youth Cup
• 4th place in the Polish Women’s Championship up to age 17
• 4th place in the Polish Women’s Championships under 15

The Synergy of Sport and Business

This collaboration is a perfect example of the synergy between the worlds of sport and business, where both parties can work together to achieve great goals. It also demonstrates that a commitment to developing young talent and promoting values such as teamwork and determination has an invaluable impact on community development.

I remember the past season very well – thanks to our joint efforts, the Nautiqus Szkoła Gortata Politechnika Gdansk team ranked 4th in Poland. This is a huge achievement for us. In addition to financial support, we also received a huge amount of mental support. Both the management and employees of the company supported us during the matches, cheering loudly for the team,’ comments Paweł Krawczyk, President of the Sportowa Politechnika Association.

With the support of Nautiqus, Sportowa Politechnika is able to further develop its training programmes, providing an excellent environment for young athletes to develop and succeed on the national and international stage.
