On Sunday, June 23, we took part in the fourth edition of a unique event – ONE Terminal RUN Gdynia. Organized by Hutchison Ports Gdynia (GCT), the run around the container terminal is becoming increasingly popular, attracting both running enthusiasts and representatives of the transport and maritime industry.

Development and integration

The poor weather did not discourage participants! During this year’s edition, nearly 1,000 participants tackled two routes: the 1 nautical mile and the 5 km. This event not only promotes a healthy lifestyle, but also has an integrative function for our industry. At Nautiqus, we place great importance on physical activity as a form of team integration. This year again, nearly half of our employees took part in the run, which is a great source of pride for us.

Nautiqus Successes

Our shipper, Dorota, stood on the podium, taking third place in her age category. This is the third year in a row that Dorota has been successful at this event, last year she won gold – huge congratulations to her!

ONE TERMINAL RUN KIDS

The main adult run was accompanied for the second time by an additional event aimed at younger runners – ONE TERMINAL RUN KIDS, of which we are a proud sponsor. Children had the opportunity to test their strength in running in different age groups, and a member of our Nautiqus team, Joana, who additionally works as a personal trainer and fitness instructor, made sure they were properly warmed up before the start.

Our Nautiqus zone was full of attractions – an obstacle course with giveaways, an area for the youngest with coloring books, soap bubbles and other games, as well as tattoos and colorful braids. It was a great opportunity to have fun together with our employees’ families and other participants.

Contest with LEGO prizes

This year we decided to add an additional attraction to the event – an art contest with prizes! The contest was designed for children aged 3-15 years, divided into age groups. The task of the contest was to create an artwork in the theme of port/sea transportation.

Charitable Purpose

The Container Terminal Run is not just about sports competition and fun. All proceeds from the event are donated to charity, which makes the event even more special. We are proud to be part of such a great initiative.
